House Café Music

After arriving to New York City in 1998 Pablo quickly started to blend in with local Djs and producers, becoming part of the citys music scene. He joined the team of the old Satellite Records and from that point on started playing countless clubs in Manhattan, Brooklyn and surroundings, holding residencies in diferent venues including Void, Drinkland, Liquids, Cafe 900 and Stinger.

During the years 2002/03 he shared residency with Alexi Delano at the Boogaloo of Brooklyn, mixing long sessions of decks, live instruments and vocals. With them collaborated singers like Wanda Felicia and Lisa Shaw. From those nights emerged Soul Dynamics, a project focused on studio production and live performing, working with musicians from the most diverse backgrounds and styles, including Los Amigos Invisibles.
The Soul Dynamics project performed live at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, a part of NYCs Museum of Modern Art in Queens.

Since mid 2003 he lives in Madrid and have been playing all around Spain and Europe, in cities like Barcelona, Gijon, Stockholm, Berlin, San Sebastian, Santiago and countless more as well as cultural events like Manifesta 5, the European Biennal of Contemporary Art 2004 in the Basque Country. He also Dj at festivals like Sonar 2005, Popkomm in Berlin and Elektronikaldia in SanSebastian representing lovemonk records.

Some of his production work includes his remix of Mojo Projects Make me Roll out on lovemonk records as part of the Remojo Project album (www.lovemonk.net). The new compilation Spain is Diferent 2 on Hitop Records includes his song Umba, a powerful afrobeat joint inmerse in chants and guitars of African hypnotism. It also includes Summertime, one of his productions with Soul Dynamics (www.hitoprecords.com). He was also comissioned to produce part of the music score for the spanish film “7 virgenes” released in October 2005 (www.7virgenes.com).

His Dj sessions oscillate seamlessly around electronic, funk and jazz elements, always on the uplifting side. Deep and broken house are some of his influences as well as the diferent variations of jazz, dub and hip hop. You will hear sounds from Detroit, Chicago, Brazil or Berlin during any of his Dj sets.
