Tête de la Course

Tête de la Course is the name  of producer Jonathan Álvarez Hernández Alonso (Gijón, 1986), in his role as composer and in his live shows.  His future musical career in electronic music scene rests on three pillars: talent, enthusiasm and effort.

The last months were vibrating for him. He published the EP ‘Despertar’ in italian label Stop Clone, pertaining to Playbeatz group, avalaible in netlabels Beatport, Itunes or Juno. And now will publish two tracks in House Cafe Music label. Jony has also remixed ‘Mentiroso’ song, of spanish funk and latin group Koniec. And other of his tracks was remixed by spanish housemaster Jesús Gonsev.
Tête de la Course  is collaborating with spanish hip hop artist Mario Fueyo (Dark la Eme), who played piano with the famous singer Loquillo. One of their tracks ‘Hagamos un trato’, was inspirated in uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti.

Tête de la Course tries in every live show to connect body and mind, heart and brain. Among his future projects, he has also an interest in incorporating organic instruments such as piano, viola, percussion and vocals both in his productions and on stage. Electronic music and house presented with a band, a field not very common in Spain even though it offers vast artistic possibilities.

He started producing in 2008 after returning from Barcelona where he studied sound. Three years have been enough to discover an artist with very clear ideas, far from any fad or the dictatorship of the beats. His main influences come from the heirs of the deepest, melodic or mental house music, though never losing the soul. .Tête de la Course has already composed a number of elegant and timeless productions that stand out for their compositional maturity and hopes. This young composer from Asturias, one of the epicenters of electronic music in Spain since the early nineties, has offered several successful live performances so far, including the closing act  of the prestigious International Film Festival of Gijón 2009 and others electronic clubs in the region. And also he played in The Gramophone´s London Club with great success.
